Nurse Resident-Emergency Department

ER-7 at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 60,000 patients per year and has 49 beds.
The Emergency Department treats major and minor illnesses, typically related to cardiac and behavioral health.
Additionally, ER-7 staff may provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma.
ER-7 has a rapid care area as well, designated for minor illnesses.
Staff members of ER-7 are outgoing and positive, and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, and be able to effectively implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms.
Position
Summary:
As a member of the patient care team, the RNI provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

REQUIREMENTS:
Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.
Bachelor's in Nursing preferred from CCNE accredited schools.
Less than 1 year of experience.
Maryland Registered Nurse License, American Heart Association CPR Certification, BLS Certification.
