Job Description:
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is responsible to support the Human Resources department by performing administrative tasks, maintaining associate records according to retention guidelines, participating in file audits, managing the department intranet page and badge system, facilitating a positive orientation and first-day experience, coordinating and participating organizational and departmental events which are led by Human Resources, such as monthly associate birthday celebrations.
Orientation and first-day activities include coordinating preparation and set up for New Associate Orientation classes, preparation of records and files, accurate collection of employment, education and certification documents, communication and follow-up, and provides reports.
The HR Assistant performs administrative tasks including:
greeting, providing information to, and responding to questions for associates, applicants and visitors; routing documentation and information appropriately and timely; managing department calendars, meetings, supply and print orders, responding to requests for information, and other related tasks.
Collaborates with others within the department, and with other departments for special projects.
The HR Assistant updates and maintains associate information in badge system, participates in the contractor onboarding process.
The HR Assistant serves as back-up and partner to the Employment and Talent Acquisition Coordinators.
Promotes teamwork, collaboration and trust by demonstrating sound judgment, empathy, and active listening/communication.
Encourages positive and productive working relationships, and advocates for inclusion in the work environment.
Maintaining employee files and accurate employee records Prepare new hire employee files and orientation packets Assemble new hire and new employee orientation Maintain employee human resources files, records, and information Completing filing of employee documentation in employee files Initiating new employee background checks Support the human resources manager with all campus human resources functions Provide administrative support for human resources Maintain various human resources, employment and benefits related files Maintain accurate current employee confidential information in employee files Create employees files and maintain confidential employee personnel records Prepare new employee benefit files and packets for weekly new employee benefits meeting Maintain employee personnel, benefit and payroll files Perform human resources and administrative tasks Manage employee files in WD Maintain applicant paperwork and employee files Prepare new hire personnel files Maintaining of employee benefit files & updating of employee payroll records Schedule new employee orientation, exit interviews Maintain employee personnel and benefit files Recommended Skills Human Resource Human Resource Assistant Human Resource Coordinator Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
